look forward to
Welcome to 3rd Grade at SY Charter School! My name is Ms. Dalton and I am so excited to have your child in my class. During our year, students will be active participants in many activities such as several novel studies, outside learning, independent research projects, nature hikes, Chumash culture, and Wonka Week just to name a few.
a little about me:
I graduated from CSU Channel Islands with a BA (2015) and Teaching Credential (2017). I recently got my credential cleared in Spring of 2020 through UCSB. I am now beginning my fourth year of teaching this fall. In 2018, I became a Charter Dragon, where I taught 5/6 Grade Math and Science. Then I transitioned to teaching 3rd Grade last year, I'm so excited for a new year of learning and fun!
I am the oldest in my family with two younger brothers. I have a close bond with my family and enjoy spending time with them on weekends. I really enjoy making cards & using stationary cards to send the old fashioned way! I love theme days and school spirit (or any opportunity to dress up), crafting, dessert - especially chocolate. I've had a passion for teaching since I was in 4th grade and I absolutely enjoy what I do... It's the best career for me!
